Michael Needham is a Melbourne based visual artist and lecturer whose practice primarily incorporates drawing and sculptural installation.
Among other things, Needhams work explores myth, belief and residual melancholia in the contemporary psyche. His recent doctorate,
Incarnate: presence and vestige in contemporary art practice, is a sculptural and conceptual exploration on Incarnation, through which parallel issues of representation in art and theology are discussed.
